    Intro

    |The FACup Round four and a potential banana skin type of game with a more than decent Coventry, a Championship side that we played last back on the 28th April 2012 in the last match of that years Championship Season. Saints won 4-0 and were promoted to the Premier League, whereas Coventry were relegated and destined for a spell in the First Division.

Since then they have had a torrid time, with all sorts of financial problems, culminating with them having to play two seasons home matches in a ground share arrangement with Birmingham. In 2021 they returned to the Championship and then reached agreement to return to the now renamed 'Coventry Building society Arena' in Coventry. Under manager Mark Robins who, since he took over in 2017, has built a useful side, who currently sit in 12th place in the Championship with several games in hand over some of the clubs above them.

Willy Caballero had a fine game in goal and pulled off two spectacular saves in succession right at the death. Although Coventry finally got the ball in the net, it was offside and Saints had won.
