    Intro

    |The FACup Round five and another home tie, this time against Premier League opposition in the form of West Ham, four places above Saints in the League table.

When the team news came out, it showed Ralph had made no fewer than nine changes from the league game against Norwich the previous Friday night. In contrast West Ham had just made two changes, including the keeper.

Into goal came Willy Caballero, with Walker-Peters and Perraud the full backs. The central defenders were Jack Stephens and Yan Valery, so that looked to be possible weakness. James Ward-Prowse was in midfield with Diallo. The wide players were Will Smallbone and Djenepo, with Adam Armstrong and Shane Long at the front. At first glance there looked a bit of a mis-match against West Ham's big defenders.

When Broja was brought down in the penalty area the Mr Marriner initially gave nothing but after a VAR review changed his mind. Ward-Prowse made no mistake from the spot to make it 2-0
